Diana Frothingham is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both the non-profit and private sectors. She brings more than 20 years of experience managing the finances of multi-million dollar businesses, with a deep knowledge base of institutional life cycles. She has overseen organizations through all stages from company inception, capital raises and distributions, ongoing management and valuation reporting, up through business closure. In addition to her strong accounting background, Diana brings strategic insight to the work to assist clients to analyze, understand, report, communicate and implement their strategic objectives in readily comprehensible formats.
As a consultant to private sector entities, Diana has developed accounting systems, established effective tools for analyzing and reporting on Limited Partner ownership, including reporting on multiple investments, valuation updates, and managing distributions of capital when necessary, and, coordinated year-end tax preparation and the filing of necessary annual reports. In addition to establishing and maintaining cash flow budgets, forecasts and reporting systems for multi-million dollar private companies, she has executed account review and billing audits for a company with $156M under management and recommended multiple changes to the filing and reporting methodology to strengthen internal controls, improve transparency and ensure accuracy of billing.
Diana previously held the position of CFO/Director of Strategic Development for a $15M non-profit organization where she worked with senior executives and the Board of Trustees to strengthen the financial position of the organization. Diana’s responsibilities included analysis of program areas to determine appropriate price per service, profitability and expansion/ discontinuation of service lines. Additionally, during her tenure, she oversaw the financial aspects of program relocations, infrastructure changes (both physical plant and organizational development) and major construction projects. In her various capacities, Diana provides rigorous financial management support and works with organizations to build their capacity to ensure long term sustainability and vitality.
Diana holds a Masters of Science in Accountancy from Bentley University and an undergraduate degree from Colby College.
