Michael Emley has more than 30 years of experience in creating spaces that foster productivity and performance, balance proximity and privacy, and promote the essence of an organization’s culture and brand identity. In addition to planning and space design, Michael has managed small and major construction projects, including managing historic preservation and public urban development initiatives, as well as projects that demand complying with rigorous regulatory standards (e.g., in the health, medical and education sectors).
His areas of expertise include: design consultation and space planning; site selection and lease negotiations; cost estimates and budget projections; project planning, management and oversight to align design options with construction standards and budgets; interior design; and, managing all aspects of site relocation.
Michael has owned design, construction and restoration businesses in Wisconsin and Massachusetts and has served as Director of Facilities and Property Manager for a large, multi-site nonprofit organization of over 200,000 square feet.
Michael received a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has been an active member of the community, involved with neighborhood health centers, the American Civil Liberties Union, as well as community based organizations supporting the needs of the gay and lesbian community and people with HIV/AIDS.
