Karen Weisbrodt has two decades of experience in software development and project management for organizations in the public and private sector. Her career has focused on developing data-centric solutions for clients, from core business applications to reporting suites, as well as developing data driven analytical tools to improve business, operating and reporting efficiencies. Karen has a long and proven track record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to put into place the tools and processes for successfully achieving business objectives and results.
Karen currently serves as Senior IT Manager at the University of Texas at Austin (UT-Austin). Over the years, Karen has served as lead software developer and has managed UT-Austin’s core work in building data-centric web-based software and a campus-wide data warehouse to improve operations across a number of central processing units, including financial information systems, campus housing and food services, institutional research and information technology services. Prior to her current position at UT-Austin, Karen served as Vice President of Client Services at Double Line Partners, overseeing a $20 million portfolio around K-12 education data development related projects for state and school districts across the country. In this capacity, Karen worked closely with clients to understand their business processes and data needs to help them identify and implement appropriate technical and process solutions to more effectively using data to drive results and inform organizational decision-making.
Karen holds an M.A.T. from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and a B.A. in History from the University of Texas at Austin.
